Until we arrived this featured property had its kitchen on the first floor (can you imagine lugging your shopping up the stairs every time?) and it had an ofice and utility room on the ground floor behind the garage. We pinched two thirds of the garage, took out the dividing wall between the utility and office and moved the kitchen diner downstairs. Where you now see the bifold doors it was previously the office window and where you see the full length window it was the utility room back door.
Nacarado being the name of the quartzite worksurfaces. Very many hours over very many weeks and months went into the detailed planning of this kitchen.
This is another project where we feel the photgraphs don't do the installation justice as its such a small area measuring just 3.0M x 2.4M.
Laughingly nick-named 'The East Wing' because its part of a big white house (although smaller than the better known East Wing at the White House) .........and it didnt really have a wing as such so we constructed one where previously there had been an unused side alley and then we removed the side of the house to create the large open plan space you see now....and we removed the back window and introduced bi-olds opening out onto the garden with a nice dining space.
This week (31.05.2019) we celebrate 10 years in business as an independent fitted kitchen specialist and what better way is there to demonstrate our continued passion in what we do other than showing you pictures of this months installation? And this particular project involved the construction of the extension too. We are the one-stop-shop for all those services and all project managed by us.
Here we have a stylish light and airy kitchen in the handleless GL range with Corian worksurfaces that would without doubt look good featured on the front cover of any home improvement magazine.
We were pleased to be involved at the early stage as the clients architect had planned on a ceiling lantern but we persuaded them to change to smaller individiual skylights in order effective lighting and extraction could be introduced over the island and also because lanterns can be difficult to keep clean as they capture cooking steam and vapour.
