Featured Kitchens

A kitchen designed by us can seriously affect your health! The clients of this featured kitchen have been in touch to advise that their Fitbit isn't registering anywhere near the number of steps/mileage they had been looking for due to us planning the ergonomics so well.......and as we all know, a lack of exercise can lead to weight gain and increased blood pressure!

Here is proof, if indeed proof were needed, that despite the market trend toward the more vibrant colours monochrome black & white is still popular and can still pack a WOW punch. This featured kitchen is the Keller GL4000 handleless style in Ice White with black quartz worksurfaces and a riven slate effect porcelain floor. Even the Abode sink and taps are black.

This is the only featured kitchen on our web site that shows the before as well as the after, simply because  the transformation from a dark narrow kitchen and breakfast room into a spacious bright and airy kitchen-diner has to be seen to be believed. The kitchen didn't even have a back door before so everyone had to enter and leave via the utiiity room. Now daylight floods into the room and one of the 3 panes in the bifolds is a hinged back door.

The satisfaction for us in delivering this kitchen was the look on the customers faces - it was all that was needed as far as we were concerned, the words they so kindly wrote in the testimonial afterwards were, although welcome, not necessary.

There's a lot going on in this room. As well as the AEG ovens and coffee machine the bank of tall units house an AEG integrated 1800mm high fridge and a freezer too as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer and the broom and mop and ironing board. And there is storage right to the top for those once or twice in a year little used items.

There are over 20 independent fitted kitchen retailers in and around the Southport area so we were doubly pleased to secure the contract to design and install this high end contemporary kitchen complete with AEG appliances in Ainsdale.

The design was completed well in advance of the building contractor commencing his works so we were able to specify the exact size of the letterbox window so the glass worktops would extend right into the window cill creating depth and the bottoms of the bridging units came flush with the top of the window.

This featured kitchen is from the Keller GL5100 range and finished in two silk lacquer colours of the customers choice and topped with quartz stone worksurfaces and a European Oak breakfast bar. The glass splashbacks were sprayed to the same colour as the base units.

The AEG appliances consist of a pro-combi multifunction+steam oven, a pyrolitic oven, an induction hob and an induction WOK hob. To ensure good extraction in this very large open plan living space of some 60M2 the island has a ceiling recessed Westin extractor capable of shifting 1100 cubic metres of air an hour.

This charming period Mews Cottage previously had a very dark and cramped kitchen; so dark in fact that even on a bright day there was a need for artificial light.....but we changed all that!

We inserted a massive steel beam and took out the ground floor rear wall and extended the property by 1.5M; that was just enough to totally transform the room layout to accommodate an island for the sink and hob but without robbing too much of the patio.  The room is now flooded with light from the bi-fold doors and glazed roofing section and the kitchen is spacious and ergonomic.
