My goodness some major effort went into this creation as the room had received 3 makeovers in its 100 year lifetime with tile over tile over tiles.......it all needed to be taken right back to its original shell and some joists replaced and brickwork repaired and every last bit of pipe and wire removed and then totally replumbed and rewired. But sharp looking projects like this only look the business because of the proper preparation....
The amazing looking tiles are a massive 1200mm x 1200mm and we even had one tile 2400mm x 1200mm so the vanity top and edges could be made without joins and grout. The tall slim walnut cabinet hides a laundry shute down to the ground floor utility. There is electric underfloor heating and the radiators are both dual fuel meaning that when the central heating is off they can be heated electrically.
An advantage to taking the room back to the bare brick was the opportunity it gave to recess the WC cistern which reduces its protrusion into the room by about 200mm; the toilet roll & brush holder are flush into the wall also.
