Featured Kitchens

Here we have a stylish light and airy kitchen in the handleless GL range with Corian worksurfaces that would without doubt look good featured on the front cover of any home improvement magazine.

We were pleased to be involved at the early stage as the clients architect had planned on a ceiling lantern but we persuaded them to change to smaller individiual skylights in order effective lighting and extraction could be introduced over the island and also because lanterns can be difficult to keep clean as they capture cooking steam and vapour.

This bespoke and exceptional fitted kitchen is finished in silk gloss lacquer jasmine in the handleless style with 50mm thick Silestone Amazon Leather quartz tops and Kuppersbusch black & chrome side-by-side ovens, a Wave plasma filter technology extractor above a Kuppersbusch induction hob and hidden behind closed doors are monobloc fridge freezer and 14 place dishwasher.

A great deal of hard work went into this project because the first discovery we made upon removing the old bathroom was the base to an original fireplace on an angle of 45 degrees across the corner of the room exactly where the walk in shower was to go. So of course it had to be removed and then substantial timber joists inserted in its place to support the new flooring. Undaunted but two days later than anticipated we went on to install this stunning period bathroom with its brilliant white metro tiles with colonial ceramic skirtings and porcelain wood grain plank tiled floors.

In this property we blocked up the doorway from the hall into the kitchen and removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a spacious 30M2 (square metres), light and airy open plan kitchen dining room with a small peninsular acting as a partial divider come serving platform for plated up meals on their way to the table. Not all our kitchens have quartzstone or Corian worktops and this kitchen has premium brand Getalit laminated tops with matching upstands.

This project involved a good deal more than merely prepping a room and installing a kitchen; not ony did we remove a substantial structural wall to create an open plan kitchen/living space we actually relocated the kitchen from elsewhere within the property and refurbished that room into a kiddies play room. And whilst the electrical work was on-going we installed network and TV/Audio cables to all downstairs rooms and laid Karndean vinyl flooring throught the entire downstairs.

Here is a perfectly executed fitted kitchen in the Keller handleless gloss Fango finish. Perfectly executed because it was measured to the very last millimetre and then certain cabinets bespoke made to give a perfect wall to wall fit without the need for infills and unnecessary panels as so often seen in off the shelf or poorly planned kitchens. The worksurfaces are Corian 'Linen' and feature inconspicuously jointed upstands and seamlessly bonded sinks and a coordinating window sil too.

This attractive property set in the heart of Lytham with its courtyard garden viewed through modern but 'period style'  Crittall Windows is a delight but with the kitchen being centre stage between the front and back lounges there was a very fine balance to be achieved between effective storage and work space but with ample room for to-ing and fro-ing.
