This bathroom in Lytham measures just 2.4M x 2.4M x 2.4M....so not very big but as you can see with a bit of ingenuity we got a lot in and created a spacious and functional WOW new bathroom.
Space was created for the teardrop bath by breaking through and utilising a void area beneath a staircase landing.
Features include a hidden cistern with wall hung Laufen WC, a Laufen 2 drawer & 2 door cabinet with basin, the shower is a Mira Platinum Duo with combined raindrop shower and wall riser body shower all controlled by a remote with digital temperature contols.
We like the wet room concept where there is no actual shower cubicle; not even the glass screen touches the wall or floor so no need for silicones and mastics (our pet hates). Note how the tiles are cut to create the incline towards the letterbox drain in the side wall so no horrible gully to stand in.
The lighting is on 3 switches so you can have just the floor and wall recessed LEDs for mood lighting and that long soak in the bath or just 3 recessed lights on over the basin or 3 ceiling lights for showering. Electrical work included the installation of a 2kW underfloor heating system.
We are pleased to have carried out this project as it was for a client for whom we had designed and installed one of our kitchens in 2010 and its always nice to be invited back and an unofficial testiment to quality and service too.
