Kitchen Utopia? Well thats what our clients Mr & Mrs Worsley called it anyway.
Here we have the ever popular Basalt Grey gloss cabinetry combined with the coolness of white Corian and the boldness of burnt orange glass splashhbacks all set upon a white and mirror chip ceramic floor.
The kitchen happened to be in a flat roofed rear extension so we took the opportunity to punch a hole through and installed a domed sky-light. What a transformation as the dome lets in double the amount of light of any window.
Beneath the skylight we installed a purpose made Corian round breakfast bar and to be absolutely sure it would be a cosy place to take breakfast on a cold morning we put in an electric underfloor heating system and we tiered the ceiling to introduce primary and secondary levels of lighting; a sort of 'mood' lighting but entirely functional.
Our clients who are both keen cooks could see the benefit of having the top of the range Kuppersbusch oven and induction hob that features a wok gas burner incorprated within the glass and behind doors are integrated refrigeration, dishwashing and even a washer/dryer.
The definition of Utopia is an imaginary place considered to be perfect or ideal; well this particular coulple need imagine no more.
