Pheasant Way in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
This modern handleless high gloss white lacquer kitchen with 25mm thick oak veneered panels & stainless steel effect plinths replaces dark Iroko kitchen units. The work surfaces are 20mm Silestone and 100mm thick Silestone for the raised table.Once again the brief was how to straddle 2 old rooms once a dividing wall had been removed and to create masses of storage for some very keen cooks........so very much a working kitchen. The island includes a small Chefs preparation sink close to the hob (for easy filling and draining of pots and pans) complete with steaming hot tap and filtered drinking water tap – the hob is a Kuppersbusch chunky gas hob with big heavy cast iron pan and wok supports. Under the sink are two pull out units with a total of 64 litres of re-cycling and rubbish bins and under the hob four large soft close pan drawers.
On the back wall we have a Kuppersbusch Profi (steam/bake/roast) oven with a combination oven/micro/grill above and a warming drawer below – on each end of the run we have refrigeration specialist Liebherrs 1800mm high fridge and 1800mm high freezer behind closed doors. (the freezer makes ice) LED lighting on top of the tall units and at plinth level plus 10 illuminated chunky glass shelves help to ensure this working kitchen is also a stunning kitchen the client is proud to show off.............
